i did a complete format and winxp install....and i upgraded my pc. 2.4 ghz instead of 1.8 ghz...and 512 mb RAM instead of 256 mb RAM....but i cant completely update winxp :angry: anyway...my pc's never been faster

good! now get a firewall/pc protection software. i use BlackICE, which is cheap and very effective. and stop using IE and Outlook Express. that alone will stop 99% of malicious programs from entering your PC. Swich to Firefox/Thunderbird.

Firefox kicks ass. It stopped all of my pop-ups. Though, they started coming back yesterday so I know something evil got uploaded. :angry:

dont need a firewall; my router stops everything. i also use firefox and i have hitmanpro. my pc is a fortress... but i'm really pissed about my windows... :angry:

i'm behind a router and a linux based firewall machine, but i use black ice too. i like their application protection. it won't let any executables be installed without your permission. it also checks if any program access the internet, and blocks them.

SO, I'm looking for this site. I used to know where it was, but I have now forgotten. At this site, you can search by arist and it'll show you all the tracks from all the artist's cds, and allow you to listen to the tracks as a M3U file.

It'll also show you how many "fans" of this artist there are in the world.

Anyone?

it's a dutch program that, when you run it, automatically downloads/installs/runs all of these: adaware, cwshredder, spybot, spysweeper, it does any virusscan you have, etc....very easy

are they in the windows Temp directory? then you are okay, as long as the files are old.
and not in use by any running programs.
