Random Dump Zone, part.. what? Kajillion?

91 Regal, and my husband already tried doin it himself because he thought it just needed new pads, but the rotors need machined and the whole thing needs to be bled and he just doesn't have the tools for that.

See the thing is, it's Just Brakes. They're a very major company and this guy was the head mechanic, that's why the whole thing smacks of con job to me. I just can't see the guy that runs a shop that's part of a major corporation using crap parts, or even using good parts and giving that much of a discount to perfect strangers. I really think he was using psychology on us, which sorta makes me feel headraped but whatever. It's still $200 less than he was quoting us before, and this way I get the new parts with the lifetime warranties. *shrug*

did you know that yesterday was ashe wednesday?
Not 'til I saw a bunch of people with ash on their foreheads.

When first started working at Sweet Tomatoes in high school, we got this huge dinner rush on Ash Wednesday and I told the first three or four people I saw "You got a little somethin *point point*" before I figured out it must be a THING and asked someone about it. :leela:

 Wait a minute, none of the people you said that to, replied about what it was?

I think they just thought I was bein a smartass or something. Maybe they didn't hear me, this is Florida after all, everyone around here is like 178 years old. <_<

I said "where it" :leela:   :duh:

I saw it a long time ago. Barely remember it.

Oh.. well you reminded me of the part where Bobby Bowfinger says that Tom Cruise didn't even know he was in that vampire movie until years later. Someone was just following him around recording his daily actions.

  I gotta watch it again. Do you interpret a movie differently when you rewatch it years later? Like, you'll laugh at something you didn't last time or understand a minor wisecrack one of the characters utters. Or is it just me?

Haha yeah, you'll have that happen more and more as you get older. Even stuff I saw when I was your age has more meaning to me now. Age and wisdom and all that crap.

That's actually one of my more overly-used expressions: "This makes SO much more sense now that I'm an adult!" But then maybe that's because my ADD was so bad when I was younger that I could rarely get through an entire movie and missed so much back then.

Sometimes It's just so damn funny that you laugh right through the next gag and miss it like in Young Frankenstein. Had to watch that a dozen times before I caught everything..

do you know what it is suppose to be that they mark on their forehead?
it looks like a smudge to me, but this lady tore me a new one yesterday when i asked her what was on her forehead.
and yet she never explained what the mark is suppose to be.
just wondering.

They're ashes from the burnt palm fronds of the former years palm Sunday. They are meant to signify attonement before God. The practice goes way back to a time when throwing ashes over your head represented the same thing. They aren't supposed to be washed off until after sundown.

i guess it sort of looks like it could be a cross.
does this also have something to do with people giving stuff up?
i overheard some of the employees saying that they gave up sodas and stuff, but that it's only for a month.
