Ok Guys

A long time ago ( maybe around 2005 or 2004) There was a list made of the songs that played in the background of alot of Mtv shows such as

Mtv Cribs
Real World
Mtv Commercials
Mtv Specials
Room Raiders

Most of the songs you hear were on that list and at one time I had a link to it.

Sadly I lost the link : (

So I want to create a new list of music that you hear often in the background of Mtv shows. ANY SHOW. Just put it down here so I can add it to the list. This will help others maybe find the song they were looking for or even find some songs that they forgot about.

I'll start

Fatbot Slim: Weapon of Choice
The Strokes: Someday

Fatbot Slim: "Weapon of Choice"
The Strokes: "Someday"

"The Giant"- Fielding
"Hex"- All Parallels
"Don't Say Uncle"- The Stereo
"100 Years War"- The States

Cool276

I can't find a place online to listen to some of these songs to see if I recongize them. Where can I find some audio samples? I tried Amazon, Towerrecords, and Napster with no results.

Oh I also wanted to add anither song to the list it:

Radio 4 "Absolute Affirmation"

They used it a lot on the Ashely Simpson show. Pretty catchy rift.

The Myspace Music worked, but are you sure Mtv uses these? None of these songs sound familur at all. Can you give me an example of a show that uses some of these songs?

Is there any chance that someone knows if one of those songs is played at the end of the second episode of this season's Making The Band 3? I've asked around on other message boards and no one seems to know.

I Wanna Be You/ Parental Control

Fell Into- Jackson United
Another Day- Blacktop Mourning (always played towards the end of the show when they meet Nick Zano to discuss the experience)
Show Me- Dirty Novels
Destination Diamonds- Diamond Nights

MTV2 All Things Rock Awards

This Girl's Attractive- Diamond Nights

Making The Band 3 (Season 2/3)

Not So Goodbye- The Churchills
Behind You- Northmont
My First Crime- Blacktop Mourning
This Girl's Attractive- Diamond Nights

RW/RR Freshmeat Challenge

I'm Not Leaving- Copperpot (when Coral and Evan were doing the first mission)

Real World Key West

Summer Away- Aloha
Help Is On the Way- Goodbye Blue Monday (episode when Tyler forgets to pick up Jose from the gym)
Behind You- Northmont

Pump Audio is the company that provides most of the background music for MTV. Pump Audio recently announced that they're opening their music catalog to normal consumers, so maybe you could request an invite to preview the new MyPump service to see if they have they tracks you want.
