MTV and VH1 background music songs

Have you guys noticed that when a 'sad' thing happens or whenever there's a montage of clips they always use Coldplay songs. And it doesn't matter which track they use because they all kinda sound the same!
Is it wrong that I hate myself a little for sort of liking Coldplay?!!!

MTV usually plays "Cross Bones Style" by Cat Power during the sad moments of shows like True Life and Made.

SOLVED: FINALLY after sooo long:

Its called "love letter rough draft" by Disengage

Band Website:
http://www.disengage.net/

They are a highly unknown band from chicago and damn i think im gonna have to order their cd from amazon, because I seem to not be able to find it on p2p networks.

But its quite good. I downloaded the music video somewhere from a rock video website and never listened to it recently when i found it in my backedup archives on my external HHDs.

You should check them out if your into hard rock.

I need to know this song they use on Mtv Cribs. It was used on Shaqs mtv crib as he was inside his bedroom with the superman bed. I don't know the lyrics to the song but the beat to it is a horn blowing. Something like da da da da

does anyone know the song that is played briefly on the mtv commerical for alternative spring breaks building homes. I would really love to know!

there is this song...they have played it on parental control...the one with the skinny black guy and a fat girl... cribs and almost all the other shows, it is a hip hop song instrumental....its hard to describe...it starts wit two drum beats...and then higher drum beats, then it repeats
boom boom...tit tit tit...tit tit tit...tit tit tit
hahaha...that was the best i could do...thanks...peace
