It's more like Beyahh and I've only heard it in parts of Wisconsin and Minnesota. Sounds almost like you'd think they were from Maine.
 
I've never heard that. Up hear we pronounce it beer, as much as I've heard. As in, rhymes with hear and fear and smear and peer

The way I've heard it is "bee-yurr".
 
What part of Wisconsin do you live in? The reason I ask is I noticed when I was in Mn when my brother used to live there that the closer to a metropolitan area we got the more normal the pronunciation but when we got into the sticks where he lived I actually started having a hard time understaning people. Same when we crossed over into Wi.
