Sorry to barge in and bring the party down but I have to give you guys an update on Connor.

Remeber that ear infection I told y'all about ? He still has it. We just went through our 3rd antibiotic and nothing. They did a culture last week and the lab results didn't give us any answers as to what medicines it would respond to.

Seperate from the ear infection he ran a fever yesterday so I picked him up from daycare and took him to the doctor. She was concerned about that cough that he had left over from when he had the croup so she did a chest xray and some bloodwork. He now also has pneumonia. In an effort to avoid admitting him in the hospital she had me go to the hospital's urgent care center and they (after many failed attempts) managed to get an IV in his foot. They ran some Recephin through it and left the IV in and he's supposed to get another dose today.

I just can't understand why he keeps getting worse.

Thanks. We just got back from the doctor's and she did another chest x-ray. It has gotten somewhat better but she still had to send us back to the hospital to get some more recephin run through his IV. Hopefully tomorrow will show much better results. We are still waiting to hear back about his ear infection becuase they did another culture. *fingers crossed*

Thanks for all of the prayer. Luckily, we've been able to keep him from getting admitted to the hospital but we still have to take him in for these out patient treatments of Recephin and we will continue that through the weekend but he is acting like he feels better now so I'm praying that he continues to get better. Hopefully they will have more information on how to kill this ear infection too.
