Old VW ad

I have been going nuts trying to find this song. It was used once in a VW add in the early 90's but I think it was from the late 80's on the radio. Not 100% sure. Anyway, it sounds either latin or african and the only english words are the chorus- Go man Go. How is that for nothing to work with? Something like dit-dit-dit, dit-dit-dit-, dit-dit-dit, dit-dit-dit, go man go; in a descending scale.

It's actually not "go man go" but "homem gol". Easy mondegreen to make, though, given that the song's entirely in Portuguese...
