News Reports

What did she post all her info on myspace or something? Thats her fault. As much as I hate myspace they aren't at fault.

Well for her to be sexually assualted I would assume that she had to either agreed to meet him somewhere or given enough information for him to find her. Either way, it's her fault.

Yeah those kinda lawsuits are getting way out of hand. People always have to shift the blame, no one takes responsibility for their own actions anymore.

Yes, I'm so sick of it. And why on earth are her parents allowing her to file a lawsuit like this? What is that teaching their child?

Regardless of how she met up with him, nobody asks to be sexually assaulted. I don't think she deserves $30 million for it, but she deserves her day in criminal court.

Well said. B) I'm sure Rhonda did not mean that the assault was the victim's fault; She's questioning why the girl is suing the "conduit" thru which the info was given. But anyway, I'm all for everybody's day in court....

This lawsuit is way above and beyond what's fair but MySpace and NewsCorp do share some responsibility in monitoring their site. The person who should take the most responsibility for their actions is this sexual predator. As for her and her family, one word - therapy. Clearly something is not right in that family.

Again, I agree. Lawsuits *SHOULD* be above and beyond what people consider fair. Because lawsuits are what ultimately decides WHAT should be legally fair, in a civilized society...

Here is what I say:

Myspace blows, don't use it.

It's a free site and they do what they can like what was listed in that article. It is not MySpace's responsibility to monitor it's her parents. As far as deserving her day in court, she can absolutely sue the guy that assaulted her but I do not agree at all with the lawsuit against myspace.
