News Reports

 Okay, in what other job, besides in the government, can you just lose $1.5 million?

 They didn't lose it, they just left it in their *other* pants. ;)

 Holy crap.

If that's what happens in small towns, I'll stick with my big city chaos any day, thank you.

hmmm...
I saw that coming. That guy achieved everything he set out to do... What else is left, but do something meaningful... I hate Microsoft, but admire Bill Gates. Especially for a comment he made, which went something like this "I'll leave my kids enough money to dine at fancy restaurents for the rest of their lives. BUt not enough money so they can buy a restaurent just to fire a waiter... all the rest is going to charity.."

When Ted Turner gave a billion dollars to the UN, it was such a big news. Of course, a big scoop for CNN. Then you read about the fine print, it's 100 million each year, over a perion of 10 years, with no commitment. At that time, the Gates foundation was giving away 250 million every year, to Africa and India, with no fanfare. Sure he's got more, but it seems he's determined to give it all away... We'll see!

I also found out, money-wise, Gates is the greatest philanthrophist, of all-time!! Too bad we don't hear that part. Often we hear Conan O'Brien saying Bill Gates is the richest guy, again, and people booing!

"Transportation networks and electrical grids, which are crucial to industrial development and job creation, are so dilapidated that it will take many years to modernize them."

^ I remember you sayin how the power'd go out like 6 times a day. Crazy what we take for granted.

 They also don't have to knock when they come to search your house.

clicky

First off, notice this paragraph:
Just this week, a 14-year-old girl who says she was sexually assaulted by a 19-year-old user sued MySpace and News Corp., seeking $30 million in damages.

I feel bad for her and all but she shouldn't get a dime for that.
