News Reports

I call it Gross Gross Give Me Nightmares. Man I could SEE THE EYEBALL. Eyeballs creep me out so hard.

I just looked "teratoma" up.. are you sure it's the same thing? The little description said that it had been this woman's twin or conjoined twin even, can't remember, was too grossed out, that instead of growing NEXT to her had grown INSIDE her.

I've found more disturbing images. I don't think I can show you though.
Oh I had made the grave mistake of googling "harlequin fetus" a few weeks ago.

If y'all ain't seen it yet, DON'T FUCKING LOOK unless you have a strong stomach and a strong mind. It really messed me up, for like that entire day. :(

A harlequin is like a clown or jester, kinda sorta.. you know the ones in pictures that have the checkered outfit and the mask over the eyes.

It's horrifying and heartbreaking, you really don't wanna see it. If a description will ease your temptation, it's a birth defect or something where the baby comes out looking almost like it's been turned inside out. Very white skin and the mouth looks like a clown's makeup.. I couldn't even tell you about the eyes, I wasn't able to look at the ones on the pictures I'd seen.

Actually hold on..

Here, this is the wikipedia entry on it. They show a picture but it's of a teenager who doesn't look anywhere near as bad as the fetuses do. :(

I saw that. It's horrible. That kid is 18. They used Accutane on him. So weird...

This is kind of off the topic a bit but I recently saw a show, and I can't remember if it was the discovery health or science or what but, I don't even see how this is medically possible but this lady in some other country was pregnant and at full-term went into labor. They didn't have the medical facilities and equipment like we do but the baby was not coming out. They said that the lady next to her died while in childbirth and this lady figured that the same was going to happen to her so she went home. continued to go through labor for a few more days until it stopped. She said that in her culture that they believed if the baby ever stopped moving or somthing that it just went to sleep and it will awaken and come out when ready. (That part really didn't make any sense to me but, whatever. ) Anyway, like some 40-odd years went by and she adopted a bunch of kids then one day she started having extreme abdominal pain. They couldn't figure it out and I think they sent her to the states but they did an ultrasound on her and found the dead baby. They removed it but what I don't get is how this did not get infected or something and kill her or at least cause major pain way earlier on. Isn't that crazy?

First of all, her culture is way crazy. And second, yes that is crazy to both of your questions. The baby isn't sleep if it's not moving. That's insane.

She should have gotten sick from having a dead baby just sitting there. It should have rotted or something...her body should have rejected the poison's that were undoubtably floating around in her stomach. That's "wall of wierd" material right there.

My thoughts exactly. I don't see how she didn't get sick.

Yeah for serious! I mean I might buy the story if the timeline had been like a week or two, but 40 years.. nah ah. The body rejects the placenta within a few minutes, and a woman who has an abortion or D&C will become sick and possibly die almost immediately if any biologicals are left behind, so yeah.. I'm with youse guys.

I'll have to see if I can find something about it. I believe it was discovery health but I'm not postive. Actually it may have been on medical incredible. Hmm... *scampers off to search the interwebs*

:( I still can't find anything about this. Maybe I can catch a rerun of it. I know I don't get much sleep but I swear I saw this on one of their shows.
