Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone knew the name of the song in the York Air Conditioning Commercial. It sarts off with just strumming on the guitar and then the guy starts wistling lead over the guitar. Trying to find it for a while now.

Well I've gotten the artist. I e-mailed the York company and this is what they said:

Hi Chris,
The "Whistler's" name is Wayne Higgins. JRS spoke with his agent and Wayne is looking into the title of the song because of the commercial surprising popularity. At the shoot, he just made up the song spontaneously for fun and we used it because we liked it so much.

Search is definately not up to snuff... I didn't find this one while I was looking for this track. Searched "york". Bah.

Ok, to point, though, I'm very sure that the tune is actually based on a riff from an older folk song, not a spontaneous creation... Anyone out there know what that tune is?

Ok, like it was just said: the whistler's name is Wayne Higgins.

I found his web site, and it has a link to the song name which is "Whistler's Strut"
