Anyone know the 80s song that says something about

Frankie and Johnny...

Goodbye Frankie, so long
Goodbye Frankie
I'll see you on the other side

(I think they are racing a train)

I know I should know it, but I just can't remember. Not having much luck in my searching either, though it may be because I don't have much for lyrics. *sigh*

Here's hoping someone knows their 80s music... :D

There is a song called Frankie and Johnny but the lyrics aren't even similar to what you described. Hmm... Still looking.

Not sure if it's this one but here you go anyway. See you on the other side by Brain Biggs.
Here are the lyrics:

Frankie was a modder, the king of mertin park,
in his triple sole, brown suede floaters,
he could run fast in the dark.
Big Moe stepped on his toe so to get Moe of his back,
he played hooky, to play chicken, down on the railroad tracks.

Goodbye Frankie
So long.
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Frankie and Moe rode their scooters to the corner of Camley and Rue,
they waited at the end of the tunnel for the 309 to come through.

Frankie smiled and spit on the ground, the 309 was on time,
He knew Moe would never have the guts to be the last one over the line.

Goodbye Frankie
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Goodbye Frankie
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Frankie waited far to long you could see in his face this was it,
Frankie knew he'd never beat that train and he didn't give a shit.

(scooter sounds)

Goodbye Frankie
so long mate.
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

I also search for unknown 80s songs by their lyrics. There is a rock song with a female singer that I have been unable to find over the last three years. The lyrics are about a shy girl trying to get a guy to notice her, and the refrain seems to be:

"He might be a shot in the dark
I do't really care
He might be a shot in the dark
I cannot make him notice me
Cannot make him notice me..."

There's a large use of organ in addition to lead guitar (the song souds like a 60s hit played in the 80s).

I've thought of the Go-Go's/Belinda Carlisle, the Bangles, the Flirts, Kim Wilde, Holly & The Itailians, and Katrina & The Waves, but none of their songs match. Searching on Google has turned up nothing.

Any 80s experts out there know of this song?
