VH1 Motor Mouth

I saw a little bit of Motor Mouth yesterday and they played a song with the lines "you have to trust your instincts" and "let go of regret(s)". .the singer is a guy. .and on the show i *think* a girl was singing it. .it's not a new song. .more of a 90s ? sorry i can't explain how it sounds besides upbeat
