i dunno *shrug* and she didnt knwo the words infallible (of however you write it) and whereas either....oh yea and the word either...and then she looked it up and we discussed for a long time wether its pronounded EE-der or EYE-derOriginally posted by dascoot@Aug 5 2006, 01:17 AM
I can see "edible" being something she's not familiar with, it's not like it comes up in conversation a lot, but "although"?? Where'd she go to school?
exactly - the word is useless lolOriginally posted by dascoot@Aug 5 2006, 01:31 AM
That might be regional, I use "ee-ther" unless I'm trying to sound haughty.
OK so I'm wondering if she didn't know those words because their counterparts aren't used in Dutch (sorry I keep forgetting, it's Dutch right?) that often. Cause unless y'all use the word for "peremptory" a lot I can't imagine why you'd have to learn it, I think that's prolly the first time I've used it in my whole life.
I've heard both pronunciations but I don't know if you're supposed to use the latter.Originally posted by Scythe@ Aug 4 2006, 07:20 PM
