New York & Co. in-store
I helped open up a New York & Co. store and while I was there they played their overhead music.
There was one song that featured a sultry, smoky female in the vein of Sade or Portishead. The song had a jazzy sound with bass guitar or something similar featured heavily.
Lyrics I heard (it was difficult to pick up on at times) were:
"Can I let you go, thinking....were the only way/one (not sure about last word)"
"......first and last of my everything"
"Once in my life" or "What's in my life"--this was repeated more frequently than anything else, so maybe it has something to do with the title?
It was a really cool song and I'd love to track it down. I appreciate any and all leads!
