Greetings All,
Chasing a song today I've not heard in long time. It was featured in an ad for one of the networks (HBO and USA are the first two that come to mind) regarding movies and/or characters. If I'm not mistaken, it might have been a "year end" kind of thing that was the theme for the commercial.
The female lead singer has a raspy voice, and in the actual music video (not the commercial), I remember it taking place in a theatre and she was on the stage singing.
Slower tempo rock, with guitar. Chorus picks up, and she belts and wails at the end. If I recall correctly, the song was regarding things she'd seen in her life and "scars".
I know it's not a lot to go on, but all suggestions are appreciated. It's eating my brain! xD
