My mum is asking me about the song in the background of this advert.

I have told her that it is probably a commissioned piece by McDonald's themselves and even my fiance has said that it's more than likely legally distinct song that's not "real" and just made for the advert. However my mum is determined she used to dance to it in the 90's.

I have sent her the theme to mortal combat (which sounds similar to me but she is very unlikely to have been dancing to it) and I sent her No limits by 2 unlimited but it's not it either would anyone be able to help us?

It's likely made just for the advert and is made to sound like typical 90s EDM.... The "Mortal Kombat" theme ("Techno Syndrome" by The Immortals) is a good choice you made -- it sounds very similar.

She definitely would have danced to it in the 90s it is by an act called Quadrophonia I think the song was called Quadrophonia.

As a musical savant and after much searching, I can tell you with 100% certainty that the track used for this advert is most likely the instrumental ‘Rave’ version of ‘Twilight Zone’ by 2Unlimited, which was released in January 1992 as part of the group’s debut studio album Get Ready!
