Looking for a band from the early 90´s

Hi, I´m looking for a band.. They where popular in the early 90´s.. it´s kind of similar music to Deacon Blue and even more Hothouse Flowers. The vocalist of the band kinda look like the vocalist in Hothouse Flowers too... and I think they had a tune called something like "taxi", taxi driver", "cab driver", "taxi cab" or something like that...

thats all I know for now..., anyone have a clue?

I don't know the bands that you reference, so I'm not sure if this is a similar sound, but Counting Crows did a remake of a song called Big Yellow Taxi.

hi guys, no sorry none of the mentioned bands

the sound are pretty similar to hothouse flowers, and I think they´re Irish, but not sure... not even 100% sure that the name of the song has the word taxi, cab etc, but I remember he says it in the text somewhere in a track....

I have been thinking about it for four days now, and I´m about to flip out..

"jeff" popped up in my head, but I´m not sure it has anything to do with the band..
