Trying to remember a DJ/band...Help

Hello all, I have forgotten the name of a band, or more like a DJ kind of performing group. The lead singer is possibly asian or south american but definitely transsexual, although she does not sing on all tracks. There is the word Greek, or something related to Greek (and I mean the ancient kind, could be the name of a city like Athens but I think the word Greek is in the name) of the band.

They are based in new York.

Can anyone say who they are? For the life of me I can't remember.

This answer is probably incorrect, but I was thinking of Hercules and Love Affair(with transsexual singer Nomi Ruiz)
