Winter Storm Batters Prairies

Saskatchewan Blizzard

Considered One of the worst in our provincial history.

There is no explaining how insane it has been in our city today. A whole lot of accidents. People stuck and unable to get home. One of my brothers works at a Burger King and there are a lot of people there. None of them are there to eat. They have no way of getting to thier homes.

He said that most likely most of them will spend the night there. Apparently there are other businesses in the same situation. Most major roads in our city have been shut down by the police due to the bad road conditions.

The blizzard is supposed to stop sometime tonight.
Did you drive through it or did you get home before it got really bad? [/b][/quote]
Hope you're okay. Be really careful out there.

Luckily I don't live too far from my school. I was able to drive through it. I think it must have been at the peak of it's worst when I started from my school towards my place. But that peak lasted for few hours at least. It is finally getting better now. But it is still considered blizzard weather.

The wind and snow is no where near as bad as it was earlier. But I suspect the roads are not very good for driving yet. I haven't been outside since getting home this afternoon, so most of what I know about the weather comes from the news and weather stations and such.

Tanks you very much! I'll do my best to be careful. Mother nature is giving us prairie Canadians a good kick in our places where the sun don't shine. :out:

Well once it leaves you, it's supposed to head our way sometime over the weekend. Of course I'm sure it won't be nearly as bad as you guys are getting it.

Well the sun is shining bright today. But it is really cold. -28C and with the wind chill it feels like -37C.

The streets are being cleared by Mr Plow and and the Plow King. The major roads should be clear by now.

They are predicting that when it hits Oklahoma it will be the worst winter storm in OK history.

No idea. I thought that CO had calmed down some but I guess I need to watch the weather more.

No, it's not even brick. <_< It's like brown stone and it takes up a big corner of the living room. I'll have to take a pic sometime and show you.
