There was this song played during a special on Fox about Brett Farve's dad passing away. The song was kind of country, and had a lot of blues kind of undertones. Someone said it might be a song by Tim McGraw. Does anyone know anything else? Much appreciated!

Of course I have to ask if you remember any of the lyrics. Was this by any chance during the game on Friday?

Could be "Live Like You Were Dying". I believe this was kind of for his dad, former Phillies pitcher Tug McGraw, who died in January.

"MAN I LOVED DEEPER AND I
SPOKE SWEETER AND I
WATCHED AN EAGLE AS IT WAS FLYIN'
AND HE SAID SOMEDAY I HOPE YOU GET THE CHANCE
TO LIVE LIKE YOU WERE DYIN'"

Could be it, though I didn't see the show.

I didn't even see the show- I'm asking for my boyfriend and his uncle. I know a lot of Tim's music, but after all the popular songs of his I played for them, they didn't recognize any as being the one they heard which is why I'm not sure they are right when they say it was one of McGraw's songs.

Anyway, it would be so helpful if anyone could give me any other artists they think might have sung the song. THanks and happy new years!!!!
