Fear Factory has also re-done that song, and it's actually just called "Cars".

Oh okay. I found it under both names on iTunes. It has many remixes and live versions (besides the remakes by other artists) so I was a little confused.

Now I'm wondering why it wasn't used on the Cars soundtrack... there are way too many songs about cars to use them all, but that one is actually pretty good. "Real Gone" (Sheryl Crow), which they did use, works really well in that movie anyway.
