Everyone I know whos read Da Vinci Code before Angels and Demons liked it more and vica versa. Essentially it's the same novel, so the first one you read by Brown is the one that makes the bigger impression.

I highly recommend the version with pitchers. You'll understand it much more. I bought a copy and read it in 48 hours and then loaned it to my mom and she started to read it and my dad saw she had the book and wanted it. So my mom went to the bookstore and bought him his own copy and called it an early Christmas present. That was last year.
