MTV and VH1 background music songs

Woohoo!

I've been looking for that song, "Lovedust" by Luna for the longest time. I've heard it on MTV's Made several time but never had any lyrics to go by. Thanks! :D

Wow, was that a long list of songs to go thru. Whew!

Another awesome song is "Silver Screen(shower scene)" by Felix da housecat, they use it alot on Cribs and VMA's 2004.

MTV also uses songs by Wilco, Beulah, and The Reunion Show.

The song has been used on TRL and various VH1 shows. The song is kind of punk, with male vocals singing, "don't want this responsibility". It's sounds like something by Midtown.

Nevermind I found the name of the song. It's "Responsibility" by Mxpx.

The name of the song that MTV uses with the flute is "Step Into My Office Baby" by
Belle and Sebastian.

MTV also uses "All For Swinging You Around" by The New Pornographers.

"All Medicated Geniuses" by Pretty Girls Makes Graves

"Responsibility"- MxPx

THANKS SOOOOOOOOO MUCH COOL276 IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE FLUTE SONG FOREVER! I LOVE YOU

Ok... There is a song(well more like a guitar instrumental of a hardrock/metal song) that is frequently played on mtv shows... It sounds a little like the beginning of the song "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin. It also kinda sounds like something Godsmack would play but im pretty sure its not them. Perhaps something by Metalica but i doubt it. The part that is played sounds so awesome and is commenly played on various shows listed here.

Well the first time i heard it was on the MTV show True Life: I Live To Ride.. It's played for about the last 2 minutes of the episode. Its the last song of the show b4 the credits and is shown during all the riders doin awesome stunts. (this show whille porbebly be the most help b/c its played the logest iv heard)

It also has been on the RW/RR Challenge: The inferno... where Veronica and Katie are yelling at eachtoher and causeing alot of drama.

It has also been played on a recent Pimp My Ride episode, where they are tearing apart a car in the beginning.

I think it has been played on a recent One Bad Trip Episode where it has the one girl spying on her B/f and she gets all pissed b/c he prtends to hook up with some lifeguard chick. A few seconds of it was played when they pretended to go skinny diping while jumping in the pool.

I think It also has been on the preview of the of the RW/RR (im pretty sure the most recent but im not sure - Battle of the Sexes 2) preview show. This is when kaite is yelling at another person and they play it again.

If Anyone has any info on this Plz reaspond to this post. I would be very happy if i could find the song or band its played by. Hopefully if u heard the beginning of "So Cold" u may know what song im talking about.(since it sounds alot alike it) ( by the way... i know for a fact that its not by Breaking Benjamin since i bought both of their Cd's in a chance of finding it)

:D

I heard a song on the Real World Inferno. I believe it's called "is you is or is you ain't my man". I'm not sure who sings it, but would like to know. It's sung by a woman and the bass beat is the main part. Can anybody help me?
I know a song called "Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby", but it's more jazzy pop, not with a strong bass. It's by this new singer named Renee Olstead. They have it on itunes. Is this what you're looking for?

does anyone know the song that was playing on MTV cribs "hot rides" when fat joe was showing his cars? It's by the neptunes but i don't know the name to it?

A couple of other songs that both MTV and VH1 play all the time is

"Move Your Feet" - Junior Senior
"Living in America" - The Sounds
"Boys Don't Cry" - The Cure

Hi all, I'm looking for the song that is always used in the background of MTV cribs and was recently used on VH1 Best week ever ( week ending 2-7-05...I think ). All you hear is a clip of repeating quick flute notes then is usually followed by some sort of beat. It sounds like it may be the beat in a rap song, but I have no idea. Its been played in numerous episodes of cribs usually when the camera pans around a really fancy room. This has been driving me crazy.... Thanks in advance for any help.

Is it "Sure Shot" by The Beastie Boys, from "Ill Communication"?

I can't find a link to an audio sample; they must not allow that sort of thing. But, it's a pretty common tune, or at least used to be.

I think the Beastie Boys song referred to earlier should actually be "flute Loop" from ill Communication listen on itunes...
here

Is the song "Step Into My Office Baby" by Belle and Sebastian. MTV uses that song alot.

No, I was definitely thinking of the beginning of "Sure Shot", but I did forget about "Flute Loop".

Both are on iTunes, as you said, though "Sure Shot" didn't come up when searching by the group name. Only by title or album. Odd.

So it could be either one. Or something completely unrelated...

Thanks for checking me, though!
