Song from the mid-90's

I am dying to find out the name/artist of a song from the mid-90s that has the theme of an older song (maybe "on broadway" or something like that). It was a guy and it was kind of a rap song. This is really vague info I know, and if I can come up with more info, I will definitely post it! :blink:

WOW, not much to go off of, the only one I can sort of think of is a Robin Thick (?)song called "When I Get You Alone" but I dont know when it came out...I know it was before 2003 - if its not it, can you rember anything else aobut the song?

I have been driving myself nuts all day trying to think of it! The background is an older song and the beginning is the keyboards. It was a one-hit wonder. I will keep thinking, but thanks for trying to help from such vague info!
