Pretty sure it's Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass; just can't recall the friggin' title.

It's "Music To Watch Girls By." I'm not sure about the excerpt in the NPR clip, but the version of the song that has come up on these boards before is by 001 Ensemble.

Very Good. I was way off though the styles are very much alike. This was a hit song by Bob Crewe. I'm not familiar with the 001 Ensemble.
