What is the song in this trailer.

Everything I can find from the people who made it say it's 3 Doors Down - When I'm Gone, which it obviously isn't.

I still have had no luck finding this song. Any suggestions on where to look further? I've done various searches as well as contact the marketing for MI-5 and all I've found is that the official word is that the song is 3 Doors Down - When I'm Gone, which it obviously is not.

This is the reply I received from BBC Amercia:

The band is called Cringe. They are a “garage” band form California. You can look them up on the web. “Cringe” not “The Cringe” AS to the names of the songs themselves …(we used one song for the Season 1 and 2 trailers. And a different song for the General Season 1-5 trailer) I’m not sure.

So, anyone for some Cringe?

I am glad I came across this site, I have been trying to get info about that song. I was getting ready to watch Torchwood, and came across the preview for MI:5. I am hooked to a new show, in part because that song grabbed me.

I downloaded all the songs available from their website, and while Winter sounds similiar, it isn't the same song. Unfortunately, now every seach I do for the lyrics comes back with this as the first hit.

Also, you'd think if a garage band had enough success to be in a commercial, they would be promoting that fact, and I saw nothing on the myspace page or their home page: http://www.cringeonline.com/

Hi guy,

I too love this song...try "Talk of the Dead"on the "Cringe" MySpace webpage.
I think it was just added to their online playlist. The song rocks!
It is possible that the song (as played on the MI-5 trailer before "The Shootist")
is slightly different because it may have been editted specifically for the
trailer. Seems to me that the MySpace. com "Cringe" site has the original.
It has the fewest plays in the playlist because it may have been recently
added because of interest.
