Hello! I'm new to the forum and this is my first post, so please be gentle. 
I've been trying to identify this piece of music for nearly 16 years. I seem to have a whole cache of these deep in my psyche, and now the Internet/This Forum is allowing me to ask fellow music geeks after all these years....I hope these are at least somewhat challenging.
The piece begins about 1 minute into the trailer for Hoffa. It is very distinctive when it starts, so you cannot miss it.
To me, it sounds like the expansive moods of Ennio Morricone, James Horner, or Randy Edelman, but I simply cannot place it.
