If you click on "My Controls," located in the red bar near the top of every page, that will take you to your User Control Panel.
In the left column of that page, near the bottom is a section named "Personal Profile." And, under that is "Edit Avatar Settings." If you click on that, you will be able to set your Avatar (also known as the icon under your user name).
