A different World Cup Commercial

I think this was the first promo commercial put out for the World Cup...

Maybe the hard-core soccer fans will know...

There is a soccer cheer that is done in the first part of (and then repeated throughout) the commercial.

It sounds like "Alay alay alay alay alay - alay alay alay"
and it repeats

Was that just something concocted for the World Cup, or is it an actual soccer team's cheer?

It's a soccer game chant with remixes done by many artists. The song sounds like olay olay olay olay. So try searching for: Soccer Chant - "Olay, Olay, Olay, Olay".

I think the song was in the football film the replacements with keanu reeves. They played it for the kicker who used to be a soccer player, but I couldn't find anything about the song on the soundtrack.

I have that song in my Ipod as "ole ole (soccer anthem) " Although it says unknown artist, there was also a version of that song for Mexico, on the worldcup of France 98. I hope that helped a little a bit. xD
