During the Oscar telecast Will Smith introduced a montage by Michael Mann that was supposed to be about America.

Does anyone know what soundtrack the first song used is from? It has a very dreamy and magical tone.

You help would be much appreciated.

When Tom Cruise presents Sherry Lansing with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award---during the montage (more towards the end) there was this musical piece playing. It sounded so familiar.......any ideas?

I am looking for the academy award show music that is _not_ the best soundtrack theme. Looking for the general theme music that is played throughout the show - that is specific to that year. Does such a thing exist?
