hi i want to start listen to opera music and sympony orchestral and clasiscal music but dont know where to start. where should sum1 new like me start. any good and classical timeless hits? number 1 songs that alot of people like and recognize? any help is appreciated thanks.

I highly recommend Classical Music for People Who Hate Classical Music.

It contains 58 well-known tracks from Bach to Vivaldi and encompasses ballet, opera, concerti & symphonies.

Purists hate it (hence you will see some scathing reviews) but as an introduction to classical music, it can't be beat. Good value too!
