Viagra "Viva Viagra"

The new Viagra commercial featuring the reworked "Viva Las Vegas" song is one of the most offensive ads in years. A bunch of horny old guys singing about their erectile function is just pushing it too far. We seem to have moved from bad to worse. No more innuendo, just blatant in your face hawking of sex. It's a shame that profit motive has corrupted pharmaceutical companies so much. What happened to making medicine to save lives? I tried to contact Pfiser directly regarding this but they don't seem to have a direct email link. BTW this is my first ever complaint on this forum. I'm not a prude. I think bad taste has it's place. South Park and SNL have at it! Pfiizer 20 times a day from morning til late night, give me a break!

It bothers me big time. I just sucks so bad. So stupid. I think most corporate creative departments have lost their minds. It's lazy advertising...it was a shit song to begin with and it has gotten worse with age.
Grown men singing about their erectile dysfunction. Why dont they just shoot all of us over 50 and get it over with.

calm down you dont have to spaz out i agree but at least its on late at night
The commercial is asinine. Not too sure about the late time slots it was on just after the 6 o'clock news tonight.

I know I'm going to catch hell for this... but here it goes anyway.

My first thought was that Elvis (if really dead) is spinning in his grave right now. But on second thought, if anyone would appreciate the latest trend in pharmaceutical concoctions, it'd be Elvis.

;-)

I feel the same way. I'm loving you so hard right now. :p

I spent a year and a half without a TV a few years ago, and the thing that hit me in the face when I returned to television wasn't the vast wasteland that Edward R Murrow referenced. It was commercials. Offensive much!!! You are what you eat, and there is plenty to nourish the soul (There are great choices on the menu.) I concede TV ads expose great music to the huddled masses, however tact should still be observed. Viva la television (insert French accent), viva la intellect!!! Thanks for the feedback.

P.S. 6:30 evening news is not late night
