Smart People

Last night, I saw "Smart People" with a date and it was surprisingly good.

But my question, for those who may have seen it, is about the guitar riff played during the end credits. I didn't catch the lyrics much but it includes something about "happiness."

The song that I posted here about is the last track on the album, "Pursuit of Happiness," by Nuno Bettencourt, formerly of the band Extreme.

There's a song when Dennis Quaid's character climbs a fence. The lyrics go like this:
hey what's the play trying to pull it together no you don't you don't need a helping hand, gonna show them you're a man. so you wanna do something grand gotta do it while you can.

It's most likely a Nuno Bettencourt song, but it doesn't seem to be on the soundtrack.
