God damn it! Jennings was my favorite. He was above Dan Rather in my book; he kicked so much ass!

*shrugs* Everybody dies. Me, you, Bob's uncle Bob. *shrugs again*

Oh Fitz.

Yes everybody dies, but we can still feel bad about it.

I have a friend that does that too, and I don't get it. <_<

but we can still feel bad about it.
Aren't we supposed to? Is it not normal? Especially for an icon as Jennings

Well I didn't know him and he didn't especially effect my life in any way so I won't, like, light a candle and sing or nothin.. but I'd equate it to hearing that your friend's grandma died. Kind of a "Aww that's too bad! I'm sorry to hear it" sorta thing.

*sigh*
I'm not saying I don't have empathy for the unnecessary pain that those close to him are probably heaping upon themselves over their loss. I do.
But if you consider the wishes of those who leave us.....do you think any of them want us to be miserable? Or do they want us to tell jokes and remember them with laughter?
Ask yourself what you want when you're gone. Then ask yourself who you are feeling bad for when someone you know passes away. Is it them? Is it for them?
Whatever your answer is you should also ask if your behavior honors their life. For in the end it isn't how we died that matters. ;)

Well yeah, all I was saying is that you can have a zen outlook on death and still not just brush off a man's entire life with a "Meh, it happens."

I don't mean you personally were saying it like that.. you know what I mean.

:P Yeah I know what you mean. :D That wasn't even the Zen answer though. ;)

Thousands left this world today and thousands more arrived. And I know them each and every one. They are human as am I. I am their brother. I celebrate them each their journey. I cannot celebrate in sorrow. ;) :D
