You know NASA spent millions developing the "austronaut pen", the kind of ball-point pen that can write up side down, does not leak in outer space and can work in zero gravity. Somebody asked the Russians if they had a similar invention, and they said, we don't need to, because we all use pencils... :lol:
I bought one of those pens for my dad for last Christmas. :ph34r: He really liked it. :)

Yeah NASA is pretty much becoming irrelevent. It's just a status symbol for the US now, costing billions, but having very little to show for it. Like most goverment programs they are fat, happy, sluggish and innefficient. The only thing still gets them media attention is the risk involved...
So much potential, just thrown out the proverbial window...
