Actually, I'm sure you guys have too but I heard tons of stories like this after 9/11 when I worked for American Airlines. There was one guy that was supposed to be on one of the planes that hit one of the towers and for some reason he missed the flight, then he just rebooked that ticket to go on another trip for November 12th to Dominican Republic and missed this flight too. If you remember, this flight crashed. I believe that the engine fell off and landed on someone's boat in their driveway or something like that. Anyway, he was calling me for a refund because he decided he wasn't going to fly anymore.

I think it was part of the wing. But the plane landed in a residential neighborhood in Queens.
