kinda dance-ish upbeat song

Ok, there's this techno-y/dance-ish song, it sounds like a girl is singing. I can't remember much of the lyrics. "Goodbye, goodbye" repeats alot in it. I think she says something about "looking for a new life" or "waiting for a new life". Google search has yielded stuff by Oingo Boingo, Dream Street, Alicia Keys, and even Kanye West. And its not any of them.

I'm pretty sure it's an older song (but no later than the mid-90's I'm sure) that's been in some movies and even tv commercials/trailers if I'm remembering correctly. Thanks in advance!

could it be "Waiting for a New Life" by Total Eclipse on the album TIP 'The Story.

....idk i only found that song off of iTunes and the background was techno-ish but i didnt hear any lyrics in the song clip.
