I just saw a JC Penny commercial before the Oscars with a very familiar-sounding song. I didn't catch any of the lyrics. It was sung a cappella. The commercial involves two people in what looks like a train station. Did anyone catch what song that was? It sounded like a cover of an older song.

haha i just heard this too. i think it is a beatles song. all i caught was "i('ll) love you more."

i researched:

the original, i think, is in fact by the beatles and it is called "there are places i remember."

anyone know who performs the one in the commercial?

The Beatles' song you're referring to is "In My Life," but that's not the song in the commercial.

but no....not the zombies, i don't think. the vocalist on this is a woman

the one i saw with the two people in the train station about making a great first impression used the way i feel inside from the zombies.
it's the same version used in the life aquatic.
