OK, the most cited example is Led Zep getting $15 million for Caddy's use of "Rock n' Roll", after the Doors turned it down because John Densmore felt (rightly and righteously, I believe) Jim would have been on spincycle in his grave.

Any other dollar figures?

I didn't read it, but I always figured Cadillac wanted to use a Doors song originally because the tag line is "Break on Through" or something like that. Didn't make much sense with a Led Zep song playing in the backround. I woulda taken the money if I was Densmore, screw Morrison, he killed himself. Just kidding, I don't care one way or the other.

<----Greg Brady is the real Lizard King.

Any idea what other bands have gotten for use of their hits in commercials? the who have made a cottage industry out of it.
