Yes, leather armor, and studded leather armor actually exist

Of course leather won't stop anything more than a badly-aimed dagger, but the fact that it's made in the same shapes as an armor (that is, seperate peaces for shoulders, wrists, etc etc) makes it an armor.

There could even be a chocolate armor!!
