classic oldies song with the line "Dark ashamed" sung by woman?

As my title states, i cannot remember where I heard it, but i'm looking for any info on a song with lyrics that sound like "dark ashamed, Darling Dark ashamed". I believe its sung by a woman and sounds like it originated sometime in the 1930s-1960s possibly. I may remember hearing it in an older movie like Home Alone or something around that time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
