Car commercial cover song

Hi, first time poster here. I was watching the Law and Order SVU marathon today and a car commercial came on and for the life of me I can't remember what kind it was but anyways. I heard a song in it that I recognized as a cover of a song I heard on the radio in a doctor's office but don't know what that one is called either. It's slow and the original kind of sounded like The Smiths. It's a female singing so I think it's a cover. It kind of goes like "ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba ba". Sorry I can't be of much more help but I'd love to find it.
