i've pretty much decided that my fav artist is Atmosphere, though people don't really know who he is. (he's actually the guy in the picture to the left)!

his music is like Indie Hip Hop. it's kinda slower paced and the lyrics are pretty strange.

if anyone knows of the rapper Atmosphere hit me up and tell me what songs u like or how u heard of him!

I thought Atmosphere was two people, Slug and Ant or am I thinking of a different artist?

yeah it is Slug and Ant but recently it's just been slug rapping and ant creating the beats. the guy in the picture is slug.

the video is pretty funny as well. the lyrics are so true...it using satire of pop culture. lol.

i think the end of that (^) song is cool cuz he talks about his hometown. it's called "Shhh"

By far my favorite song is "Nothing but sunshine" its on the Lucy Ford album. Universally I've heard God Loves Ugly is his most solid album, I would have to agree.

Probably not Atmosphere because Slug's lyrics r more mature and kinda weird at times.

They'd like Atmosphere if they were older, maybe.

I like how his songs dont sound too "mainstream", he can actually rhyme very well and he has a wider vocabulary than most rappers.


I dont like feeling dumb when i hear certain hip-hop songs. u know?

Although, some of it is catchy!

Atmosphere's music isn't nowhere near as bad as all the other thug music out there, but yeah, his lyrics kinda reflect complex stories...that include topics kids under 13-15 shouldn't be listening to.

if they ever INSIST on having this type of music, try the artists Jurassic 5 or maybe The Roots...edited of course.

other artists u may not know that might have mature lyrics like Atmosphere are:

-MURS
-Eyedea & Abilities
-Sage Francis
-Felt

superrey, u should watch a youtube video of atmosphere and eyedea freestyling. i think u type in something like: "slug and eyedea freestyle" or something like that. it's pretty awesome i must say.
