A token of my appreciation for the ESPY find. ;)

Still no leads on the ESPY Nelson Mandela/CTV Opening essay music.

To reiterate, several of us are looking for the song beginning at approx. 4:00.

Good hunting, my friends.

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics Vancouver - Miriam Stockley/Adiemus???

Sorry about reposting this request...but I didn't get any responses at all the first time. I was thinking that it might have just gotten lost in the shuffle, I'm also afraid that the link will stop working soon. The song sounds very much like Miriam Stockley of Adiemus fame...but I can't see/hear where she's done anything like it????

The song appears two times in the clip, first is between 1:10 - 1:42, the second is at 3:40 till the end. Can anyone help?

Here's a link to the clip:

I've listened a couple of times -- sounds oddly familiar, but I can't place it.

Anyone have anything on this or the CTV Opening Essay clip?

I _think_ that first clip is from a set of albums called Adiemus. I only have one of their albums and nothing in it sounded familiar, but I skipped around a bit while listening through just now. I'm really not sure about that second clip, though.

2010 and 2006 Olympics

Hello,

In the 2010 Women's Halfpipe qualifiying runs there was a segment they did on Hannah Teter on her charity and her trip to Kenya. I was wondering if anyone knew the songs played in the background, particularly the ones in the start.

In the 2006 Closing Ceremony they did a wrap up I guess, on Apolo Ohno winning the gold and there was a song in the background that was playing the entirety of the time basically, and I really liked it and was wondering if anyone knew the name of the song?

Thanks guys,

For those looking for music from NBC's "Canada Welcomes The World" montage, the tracks are listed (with YouTube uploads) below.

Kaye -- thanks for the Audiobrain reference; I did, and they have kindly identified the tracks used in that NBC piece.

From the NBC "Canada Welcomes The World" montage:

Track 1: Lorne Balfe / Extreme Music, "Fatal Fantasy"

Track 2: Two Steps From Hell, "Protectors of the Earth"

Track 4: Audiomachine, "Hymn of the Rising"

after weeks of searching... playing the dvr over and over again... you have found thee... tears are flowing from my face as I hear it... you sir... have made a friend for life!:D

Glad to help. Nothing speaks quite as loudly as music, eh?

For those still trying to find the music from the intro of the aforementioned CTV Opening Essay: I'm stuck. Need some help, folks.

For the couple of people posting new requests: please try to either upload an .mp3 sample of what you're talking about (if you have it recorded / handy), or perhaps find someone's YouTube upload so we can hear what you're talking about and help place it for you.

And I guess I'm done. No response from CTV, can't find anything elsewhere. The only upload I saw on YouTube a month-ish ago was quickly copyright claimed into oblivion -- so no commenter help there.

I've had that uploaded .mp3 sitting on my desktop since the link was posted in this thread. Dammit.

Yeah this is a tough one. I've just emailed the filmmakers for both pieces. That was my last resort.

If anyone can name the song beginning at 4:00, I would be very greatful!

:D

Case closed! The song is "Majestic" by Liquid Cinema. No youtube sample of it unfortunately.

You can listen to it on the APM Music Library at the following link:

Hm... no, I can't say that I do. I'd be interested in that 2:50 one myself. Didn't see anything in the YouTube comments for the video. All I caught was Thomas Newman's "The Inside Out" (from Cinderella Man) on the end of the montage.

TK, got anything?

Wonder if someone at Audiobrain could tell us.

I found the music from the Sadness program! The track is called "Грусть". It's from this soundtrack

The only sound samples I found were on a Russian mp3 site, and I don't think that's allowed here. But it is the right music!

HERE IT IS!!! http://poiskm.ru/artist/308512-Satisfaktsiya

Check back several pages in this thread. We managed to find out the tracks in the CTV Opening Essay, and I posted them with YouTube videos -- is that last one what you're after?
