    Ha! I followed the link and watched the ad just to make sure it was the same one (it was), and I scrolled down and saw they've placed a link to the song in the iTunes Store. It's not free, but the link is there. :)

    Hmm... I seriously doubt this could be it -- it sort of fits some of your descriptions, but definitely not the others -- but Bauhaus redid Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky." Lyric is a bit similar, and parts of your description fit their sound. I don't know. I've got nothing. :ermm:

    HELP ME!!

    Since I'm not Canadian, it might very well be something I've never heard before, but did the part you remember have female vocals? I can vaguely remember hearing that lyric in something recently that might have been sort of hip hop or pop, so I might be able to figure it out.
