VH1 montage commercial

this is driving me nuts...this song was played during one of those VH1 montages and the only lyrics i can remember go like..."can you live?" or something like that with "can you" the singer is a guy, and the song is kind of slower and ethereal if i remember it right with some acoustic guitars. if anyone can help that would be great...thanks!!

Was this a recent VH1 commercial or one from a year or two back?

If it's a slightly older ad, I remember this song being used ...
