I'm sorry this is not really about music, but I didn't know where to post this. Anyone know any solutions to my problem with burning DVD Data Discs.

I've been burning data discs on normal DVD+R discs. When I try to open them up when I insert them into the drive (you know, to look through the folders or play the video files I've burned as data on the disc), they freeze up my system. I'm not 100% sure but I think I've burnt them in a multisession and/or I did not finalize the discs. Whenever I open up the disc, I can see the files and folders, but I can't click on any of them. My system freezes up not allowing me to play any of the files on DVD+R data disc. However, when I eject the disc, everything unfreezes and is fine. Is there a reason why this happens? What can I do to amend the problem? Is there a way to finalize an already burnt data disc? Did I lose the data on the discs or is there a way to recover them (these are important video files)?
