In the GODFATHER, there is a song that is from an old opera about a sad clown. i've searched everywhere but still can't find the name. it has also been in the GODFATHER parody on Harvey Birdman:Attorney at Law. help would be appreciated.

hmm... that's odd, it's not on that list for The Godfather but the Harvey Birdman piece was "Vesti la giubba" from "I Pagliacci"
Track 16 at Amazon
(This particular recording sounds positively ancient but it's the one sample that gets to the familar bit of the song)

I think you might be confusing The Godfather with The Untouchables—I could be mistaken, but I don't think any piece from Pagliacci is used in the former, but "Vesti la Giubba" is most definitely, and prominently, used in the latter. The ubiquitous opera/aria was also used famously in an episode of Seinfeld.
