Rock music video heard on MTV

I had the television on to MTV or MTV 2 and caught part of a rock song. The lyrics "but I won't let you go" (or something similar to that) are repeated in the song and the final lyrics before it ends. As for the video itself, I think it takes place on a street. At the end, the lead singer (I think he had blonde hair) walks past the camera, leaving a shot of an empty street. I know these are pretty vague details but that's all I can recall. If anyone knows what song I'm talking about, it would help immensely.

Sure thing. Also, although I usually don't watch MTV/MTV 2, I finally got a chance to see the music video from MTV's website and can now say with absolute certainty that this was indeed the song. The band's website has a direct link to it (that sometimes works, sometimes doesn't) in addition to playing part of the song once you enter it.
